JailBreaking an iPhone
You've probably seen the term "Jailbreaking"
on your travels around the web, but what exactly is this vaguely
illicit-sounding term? It's actually nothing to do with busting out of prison -
it's about unlocking your phone to do whatever you want with it.
Jailbreaking is the process of removing software
restrictions imposed by iOS, Apple Inc's operating system, on its devices
including the iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and second-generation Apple TV.
A cost-free jailbreak can make any Apple phones
such as iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5s, 5c, 6, 6 plus, 6s, 6s plus or even the latest
versions iPhone 7 and 7 plus wishes come true, which includes download, install
and run lots of remarkable applications, customize options, tether with laptop
and iPad, etc.
Shortly after the iPhone’s very first release in
the year 2007, people began to pontificate about ways to potentially use Web
applications in a way that wasn’t completely limited to the Apple’s mandatory
browser. After the iPhone 3G was on the shelves, however, people were amazed by
all of the thousands upon thousands of applications that could now be directly
downloaded to the phone itself without the need for browser interaction. Even
though there are now well over ten thousand different applications that people
can download and make use of at their leisure, there are still a certain amount
of limitations that customers still seek to bypass.
Here is the complete process of Jailbreaking any iPhone:
The jailbreak process
The jailbreak process is a bit lengthy, but not
that complicated if you know what you’re doing. The below given is a step by
step process of jailbreaking an iPhone, However, it should always be noted that
you must be very careful while following it, in order to safeguard yourself
against the risk involved.
·
Firstly, one is supposed to backup
their iOS device before they start with the jailbreak process.
·
The next step is to disable the pass
code if at all you are using one.
·
The next step is to simply enable the
Airplane Mode.
·
Now comes a bit tricky part. To carry
out the jailbreaking, one is supposed to download some jailbreaking tool on their computer. You’ll need the latest
version of the iTunes installed as well. Also note that there are different
tools for different iOS versions, and not all the tools may work for all the
iOS.
·
Open the downloaded tool which will
help you with the jailbreak process.
·
Now, you can plug in your iOS device
and wait for it to be recognized by the tool.
·
Once recognized, you’ll find a “Start
jailbreak” or some similar option. You’re supposed to click on that.
·
Some tools may or may not require you
to do anything else. Some may, however, involve a bit more steps. But they
usually aren’t anything technical or complicated, so getting through them
shouldn’t be a problem.
After you’re done with all that, you can simply
wait for the process to finish. Once finished, your device will reboot. You’ll
then find an icon or option named Cydia, which will allow you to prepare the
file system. That’s it, you’re done!
