your device. There is a list of mobile brands (Android of course) that supports
rooting.
Many people asked me, what is root? What can I
gain? What will I lose? Is it safe to root or not? Well, this I am going to
share with you today, right now.
The Android operating system was designed for both
commercial and private use. When you purchase an android phone, the operating system comes with some features
disabled, either for future use or to prevent the normal user from unwillingly
causing permanent damage to the operating system.
Well there are allot of advantages and
disadvantages of rooting an android phone or tablet but right now I am going to
share some of them with you. Let us start with the brighter side: the advantages.
Advantages of Rooting Android Phone:
Unlock hidden features
You can unlock/install the incompatible/banned or
apps that can’t be accessed in a particular country or region.
You can hack WiFi
You can hack WiFi network and disable other
people’s net connection in the same WiFi. That’s pretty cool!
Underclock/Overclock processor
CPU clocking is normally not available with
un-rooted devices. What you can do with CPU underclocking/overclocking is
increase and decrease the CPU (processor) speed. You can get the better battery
life or increase the performance of the processor respectively.
Run Special Applications
With a rooted phone, you can run any special
application that is prohibited or need root access on your device. As compared
to regular/famous applications, root applications provide more
features/options.
Increase RAM
Rooting your device also have the benefit of
increasing the RAM of your device which can boost up the speed and prevents the
frequent crashing of apps.
Install different ROMs, MODs, and Kernel
Android is the best operating system for the
mobile device when it comes to customization. By rooting you can install
different ROM’s, Kernels and MOD’s on your device.
Free Internal Storage
Yes! You can free your device space by
uninstalling apps you don’t use. People who have low internal memory can also
transfer any application from phone’s internal memory to phone’s SD card after
rooting their phone.
Block Ads from Android Apps
Many of you are aware of the annoying ads that come
in between some apps, but you can make them go away once you root your phone.
Disadvantages of Rooting Android Phone:
Bricking
Not to demotivate you here, but this is the most
dreaded word of the rooting world. No matter how good you know about rooting a
device, but still if you miss out any step or you mistakenly flash a corrupt
zip file on your device you might end up with a bricked phone. Your phone will
have to pay a visit to the service centre and if they found out that you were
rooting your phone, they might as well ask for a penalty fee.
Root Access / Super User access
It’s seems pretty nice to have this, until
something goes wrong. One wrong setting or move in the wrong place/time, and
you will be in trouble.
Security Risks
Obviously there are some risks for the security of
you device. If you install any malicious/banned software or app on your android
device it increases the security risk.
End up voiding Phone’s Warranty
It’s well known that rooting will void your device’s warranty. Unrooting might not work every time. If anything goes wrong to your phone and you send that back to the company even when it’s in the warranty period, the company is going to charge you for the repairs.
So now, if you have set up your mind, obviously
Disadvantages are less as compared to Advantages then here you can go with How you can root any android device.
